Huntington County Healing Partners
We believe all Huntington residents deserve a happy, healthy life
Huntington County Healing Partners (HCHP) is a collaborative effort of community members and healthcare professionals to improve Huntington County’s major health concerns. Building a culture of health means creating a community that gives all individuals an equal opportunity to live the healthiest life they can, whatever their ethnic, geographic, racial, socioeconomic or physical circumstances may be. HCHP is dedicated to finding solutions to improve the health and well-being of Huntington County residents.
To ensure all Huntington County residents have access to services to improve their health and well-being, the organizations working together as Huntington County Helping Partners have agreed to educate and provide programs to address the following health concerns:
Access to healthy foods
We recognize that in order to see a larger change in our community’s health, we must improve the systems that prevent people from reaching their health potential.
Chronic disease treatment & management
We realize that chronic disease management can be overwhelming for those affected, and we are committed to providing an integrated care approach to managing illness to improve quality of life.
Mental health
We are committed to promoting a more positive, proactive approach to addressing mental illnesses. Our goal is to educate communities by starting conversations about what mental illness is, how to recognize it and the fact that it is a treatable illness.
Obesity
We are focused on supporting healthy eating and active living in a variety of settings and to a variety of ages to help reverse the obesity epidemic.
Substance use & abuse
We know that knowledge is power. In collaboration with local agencies, we are determined to embed prevention, treatment, and recovery programs to increase access to care, improve quality of services and produce improved outcomes.
Child abuse and neglect
We are committed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect in our communities.
